Innis Ree Lodge Nursing Home aims at providing a Home from Home environment for
each of its residents.

In doing so we aim at keeping our residents entertained by providing events
and activities where they will find there own personal interest and enjoyment.

Activities both indoor and outdoor

There are a wide range of activities that take place daily in the nursing home,
some of which you will find listed below:

Current affairs, music and dance, card games. light exercises, both in and out doors.

Gardening, craft making, including Knitting, painting, etc. The above list is not exhaustive.

A remembernace mass will be held on the 23rd of November for previous residents

The residents annual Christmas Part will be held on Tuesday the 11th of December 2012


Congratulations to Eileen Burke Nurse Manager who won the NHI Manager of the year award 2011, and Caroline O'Reilly who was shortlisted to the top three in the Registered Nurse of the Year category.

Residents Food Committee

We currently have a very successful residents food committee - which involves the Residents meeting with our Chefs to discuss the daily menus on an ongoing basis.


Previous Events

Chirstmas Party - The residents have a Christmas Party each December, on this very special day, mass is celebrated in the day centre, residents enjoy a full traditional christmas dinner, they also receive a christmas present. The residents and their families sing along and dance to music on the day,in the past they have been entertained by Mike Flavin, Mike Denver and Larry Cunningham . Summer BBQ- Each summer we have a residents summer BBQ weather permitting.

Bishop Christoper Jones- Recently attended Innis Ree Lodge the residents were delighted when he visited them, please see pictures in the gallery.

Presidential Candidate Sean Gallagher - Attended Innis Ree Lodge on the 23rd October 2011see pictures in gallery

School Students- Innis Ree Lodge is involved with local national schools and the secondary school. The students visit one day a week for an hour, the residents really enjoy the visits, and the national school students also are involved in music within their school and come to sing for the residents at different times during the year.

RTE Nationwide- Came to Innis Ree Lodge in March 2010, the residents and students involved had a great day. please go to to see the events of the day
